Home Sales Booming in Reston

Reston, Va. - Reston Land Corporation announced today that home sales to date for 1996 are very strong. "Reston has just had its best March and April in three years," states Bill Steiner vice president of marketing. "All of the 16 neighborhoods currently on the market are doing well. In fact, Vintage Place, Miller and Smith's townhome community in North Hills, is currently the best selling townhome community in Northern Virginia."

Reston's year to date net sales total 121 units - 19 single family homes, 2 single family patio homes, 59 townhomes, and 41 condominiums. "The brisk sales can be attributed to the right mix of housing options that meet the needs of today's home buyer. Reston's amenities, convenient shopping, and proximity to Washington, D.C. also make it an attractive community to live in," states Steiner.

Vintage Place, a Miller and Smith project, offers exterior architecture that looks and feels like the original townhomes of Old Town Alexandria and other historical communities. "Vintage Place feels like somewhere you'd want to live. From the brick paved entrance to the authentic post lamps and the elaborate landscaping, Vintage Place is steeped in historic detail," states Rhonda Ellisor, vice president of marketing, Miller and Smith. Vintage Place offers two and three bedroom floor plans with lofts or garages available on many of the homes. Prices start in the $160's.

Another sales standout in Reston is Sutton Ridge condominium, a project of The Christopher Companies. These one and two level condominiums feature two or three bedroom layouts and most units offer direct access garages and family rooms. Sutton Ridge has been selling since October 1994, and has currently sold a total of 105 units out of a total of 193. They expect to sell out in 1996. Sutton Ridge's prices start in the $90's.
