Da Siano serves excellent Italian food that's just like Mama makes. Although owner Tom Roscino was born in southern Italy, the cooking at Da Siano reflects both Northern and Southern regional food. Tom and his wife preside over the kitchen, which specializes in veal, fish, and game. Pastas are homemade and cooked to order. Last night I was treated to a wonderful yet simple salad made with curly lettuce, thinly sliced onions, and great Italian dressing. For the main course, Tom made me a special fettucine that was guaranteed to send my cholesterol count skyrocketing...but who cares when it tastes so good? Dessert was a lemon mousse, which was instantly devoured by my 19 month old.
Altogether, Colin and I were wined and dined and spent a totally wonderful evening at Da Siano. I urge everyone to try Da Siano's...I guarantee you'll be hooked. And be sure to tell Tom I sent you.
Da Siano is open 11-2:30 for lunch Monday thru Friday and 5:30 to 10:30 for dinner Monday thru Saturday. Da Siano also specializes in private parties and catering. All major credit cards accepted. Reservations - 709-6161.
